Our Staff

We believe staff are the key to a successful nursery.

To ensure we offer outstanding quality we believe in employing a team who all hold the same beliefs and values to provide a high standard of care with wonderful opportunities for the children to develop.

We are proud that all our staff members are qualified or working towards the highest standards of a recognised qualification: NNEB, NVQ level 4, 3 & 2 and foundation degrees.

The management team have a hands on approach to sharing their skills and knowledge and staff are continuously encouraged to update their childcare training. All staff are CRB checked upon joining the Company. (CRB = Criminal Records Bureau). Staff are also required to undertake additional training in areas such as Paediatric first aid and safeguarding children, which are updated regularly. At Cosy Corner, we choose our staff for their ability to provide the optimum care and dedication to your child to the exacting standard you would expect as a parent.

Staff Ratios

• UNDER 2 YEARS 1 : 3 staff ratio
• 2-3 YEARS 1 : 4 staff ratio
• 3–5 YEARS 1 : 8 staff ratio

We operate a Key Person System throughout the setting. This enables staff to support your child's individual needs and build a strong partnership with you, the parents, as we fully understand that you are the child's first educator. The key person will be there to support the child and family during the transition period of settling into the nursery and this support will continue throughout their time in the group.
